Lanes of I-35 in Desoto are back open after a wrong-way driver crashed into a semi-truck early Sunday morning.

The crash happened around 5:00 a.m. on I-35, near Danieldale Road.

It's been a long and difficult day for law enforcement in the Dallas suburb. Investigators spent eleven hours analyzing the scene of the crash. They are trying to determine if the crash was a suicide.

Police say they were already following the Honda Civic when the collision happened.

The driver of the 18-wheeler tells Fox 4 he was headed south on I-35 when he saw a white car without its lights on coming toward him. He said he tried to change lanes but the car hit the left side of the truck.

The crash caused an explosion. The driver of the car was killed. The truck driver was not hurt.
