Police interview 2 teens in Arlington Twitter threat hoax
Arlington police say they've identified the cell phone used in and they're interviewing two teenagers in a Twitter threat hoax.
Parents of students at several North Texas high schools rushed to pick up students after threats were made on Twitter. One of those schools was James Bowie High School in Arlington.
An alleged shooter tweeted he'd storm the school and start shooting students. The tweet included a picture of a black pistol and read “@ 12 be ready for bowie to hav a schoo shootin.”
Adding to the confusion, the tweet wasn't clear which James Bowie High School was threatened.
There are several across the state.
Arlington police posted several police cars at Bowie High School. Then, there were copycat tweets at Arlington's Sam Houston High School and Cedar Hill High.
It was the same gun with a different message, which read, “Cedar hill high got it coming @Chisd.”
Last month, several other North Texas schools experienced similar scares.
Police have not said where the teens questioned are students.
