Police chase teens in stolen city of Dallas utility van

Three juveniles who carjacked a city of Dallas worker are now in custody after a police chase.

Dallas police said the teens took the worker’s utility van at gunpoint Thursday night around 8 p.m. in the 2900 block of Cedardale Road.

Responding officers spotted the stolen vehicle a short time later and tried to pull it over. The teens refused to stop, police said.

Police followed the van and Dallas Sheriff’s Officers used spike strips to finally get it to stop in the 6200 block of Lancaster Road.

All three teens were taken into custody. Their names were not released because they are juveniles.

No one was hurt during the chase.
