Officer will face trial for North Texas man's murder

DALLAS - The police officer accused of shooting and killing an unarmed North Texas man at an Arizona motel will go on trial for murder.
A judge denied a motion to re-examine the charges.
Daniel Shaver of Granbury was shot when police claim he reached for his waistband. Surveillance video shows him crawling toward the officers as ordered and tearfully begging them not to shoot.
Prosecutors said Officer Phillip Brailsford, from the Phoenix suburb of Mesa, acted recklessly.
He has pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder.
