New tests show no harmful levels of E. Coli in Trinity River at Panther Island Pavilion

A second test by the Tarrant Regional Water District shows the area around Panther Island Pavilion is clear of harmful E. coli levels.

Tubing and swimming had been temporarily banned at the Fort Worth venue.

A previous test showed high levels of the bacteria in those waters, but not in the surrounding areas.

The district said Friday night that the original test was incorrect.

People will be allowed back in the water this weekend.
