Authorities said a possible suspect in a double shooting in Fort Worth is also a suspect in another violent crime in Dallas. The other crime involved kidnapping a victim at gunpoint.

Police believe the two very violent crimes in two different cities are linked to one man. Dallas police said the suspect, 50-year-old James Floyd of Terrell, took a man at gunpoint in the 1500 block of East Louisiana Street on Sunday.

Floyd allegedly took the man to Terrell and let him go. The victim then called for help.

Fort Worth police have not yet named their "person of interest" in the Fort Worth case but said it is the same person responsible for the Dallas aggravated kidnapping.

The home invasion on Cool Springs Road in west Fort Worth Tuesday afternoon ended with an elderly couple robbed and shot. Police later found the couple's stolen SUV in Terrell.

The person of interest was arrested a short distance from there. Investigators said he used the victims’ credit cards to buy gas in Terrell.
