Man shot by police after firing shots at them
A man shot by police is expected to survive.
It happened around 9:00 p.m. in the Echo Lake Park area of Fort Worth.
The man came out of a home at 917 E. Shaw street, near East Berry waving a gun and after ignoring commands to put it down, he began shooting, police said.
Officers fired back and hit him in the lower torso area. He was alert and talking as he was transported to the hospital, police said.
That was the third time in a day they had been to the home, police said.
