Man shot and killed at North Dallas hotel

Police are searching for a murder suspect in Dallas.

Officers believe Demonte Laderrick Scaife may have information about the shooting death of 27 year-old Paris Marquell. The victim was shot Saturday night at the Extended Stay America Hotel on Coit Road. He was transported from the hotel in North Dallas to the hospital, where he died from his injuries.

Officers say Scaife may have been with the victim at the time of the shooting. They describe him as a black male, 24 years-old, 5'07" weighing 150 lbs. He was last seen wearing a black shirt, black baseball cap and black pants.

Police are also searching for Marquell's car, which was taken after the shooting. The victim drove a 2007 Burgundy Chrysler 300 4-door, License plate CF2G526.
