Man killed in Saginaw after altercation with police

A man who police say attacked two officers is dead.

He was killed during an altercation with police Saturday night around 10:15 in the Fort Worth suburb of Saginaw.

Two officers were responding to a call in the 700 block of Meadowdale Drive when they were attacked.

One officer pulled out his service weapon and shot and killed the suspect, police said.

"I haven't seen their wounds personally. I can say that one of them has sustained a major concussion and the other officer is out with some injuries to the wrist and other parts to the body but from what I can understand these are not life-threatening at this time," said Damon Ing with the Saginaw Police Department.

Both officers are in the hospital.
