Man in stolen truck rams DPD squad car

Dallas police took a man into custody after he rammed a police car during a traffic stop in west Oak Cliff.

It happened around 4:30 a.m. Wednesday in the 1000 block of N. Tillery Avenue. Police said officers saw the man driving erratically and tried to stop him. He pulled over on the dead-end street and then began ramming the squad car.

The man eventually backed into a ditch and got stuck. Officers were then able to arrest him.

Police said the suspect was in a stolen truck. He’s now facing charges for the unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and aggravated assault on a public servant.

His female passenger was also taken in for questioning.

No one was hurt.
