Garland Furniture Store Damaged in Fire
A Garland furniture store was damaged in a Friday night fire.
The fire department received a call about a fire at Fashion Home Furniture, 3939 Forest Lane. When firefighters arrived, they noticed smoke coming from the roof of the building. They were able to control the fire quickly. Only the roof sustained significant damage. The merchandise inside the store wasn't affected.
Firefighters believe lightning may have caused the fire.
