Light pole knocked into tollway kills Dallas driver

Traffic is back to normal along the Dallas North Tollway near Northwest Highway after a deadly crash kept lanes closed for about six hours.

Around 11:30 Friday night, a vehicle traveling north on the tollway crashed into a light pole. As the pole was falling, it hit a Subaru, killing the driver.

At least four other vehicles also hit the pole and the debris in the road, said Lonny Haschel with Texas Highway Patrol.

It is not known why the driver crashed into the pole. The crash is still being investigated.
