Large Fort Worth home burns in early morning fire

A large home in an affluent Fort Worth neighborhood suffered significant damage in a fire.

What we know:

The Fort Worth Fire Department said the fire started around 1 a.m. Wednesday in the 4600 block of Crestline, which is near the River Crest Country Club.

By the time firefighters arrived, there was already heavy fire and smoke coming from the second floor of the home.

The fire made its way into the attic and caused a partial collapse before the firefighters were able to put it out.

Thankfully, no one was home at the time, and no one was hurt.

The Fort Worth Fire Department put out a house fire and saved a family's dog on Friday afternoon.

What we don't know:

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

There’s no word yet on how much damage was caused in terms of dollars. 

According to online real estate websites, the 5,000-square-foot home is worth about $1.5 million.
