Irving's Blocker 12 earns its first ‘save' decal

IRVING, Texas - The Irving Fire Department is having a little fun with an old fire truck it uses to keep crews safe at accident scenes.

The old truck known as Blocker 12 was hit recently by a driver suspect to be under the influence. First responders were on the highway at the time and Blocker 12 did its job.

The department added the first “save” decal to the truck because of the crash. It’s a picture of a car with an X through it.

The converted fire truck will continue to be used to protect police officers and firefighters from close calls on the highway.
