Innocent bystander shot on Lower Greenville
DALLAS - A man police call an innocent bystander was wounded in a Dallas gunfight.
It happened around 11 p.m. Wednesday as two men got into an argument in a parking lot on lower Greenville Avenue.
Police said the victim was walking through the parking lot, saw the fight and initially tried to break it up. He backed away when one man who was fighting pulled out a handgun.
The other man also pulled out a handgun and there was an exchange of gunfire. The innocent bystander was hit, police said.
Witnesses started CPR on the injured man. He was rushed to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the groin area. His injuries are said to be non-life-threatening.
The gunmen took off after the shooting. Witnesses told police they left together in a black SUV. Police are still looking for them.
