Illegal butt injection suspect turns self in
A woman accused of performing illegal butt injections has bonded out of jail after turning herself in Wednesday, according to police.
An arrest warrant was issued last week for Denise Ross, who also reportedly goes by "Wewe."
She is facing charges of illegally practicing medicine and is accused of injecting clients with household products like caulk.
Ross' attorney successfully had her bond reduced from $250,000 to $50,000 at a hearing on Wednesday.
Several people have come forward reporting complications from the procedures.
Ross and another suspect named Jimmy Joe Clarke, who goes by "Alicia," are both accused of running a business inside of a now-abandoned Deep Ellum suite.
Clark is not yet in custody.
Ross will be outfitted with an electronic leg monitor within the next few days.
