DALLAS - Hundreds of North Texas high schoolers are now ready for prom after the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Dallas hosted their “Prom Dress Extravaganza Giveaway.”
More than 750 new or gently used dresses were available, along with shoes, jewelry, and other accessories.
Comerica Bank, along with dozens of donors and Dallas area businesses helped make this possible.
Organizers said they wanted to give the girls a night to remember at no cost to them.
“The girls come in, they're a little nervous, thinking, 'I don't know what I want, what I'm looking for.' Then they try on the dresses and the confidence is there,” said Amanda Mahaney, Comerica Bank director of business making. “They're excited about the night they're going to have. It's a great opportunity we've been able to provide for them.”
