Funnel cake burger, fish bowl win State Fair of Texas food contest

DALLAS - Start saving your money and your calories because the State Fair of Texas has some new fried foods in the works.

The Big Tex Choice Awards were handed out over the weekend. The award for the best tasting sweet food went to the Gulf Coast Fish Bowl. And, the Funnel Cake Bacon Queso Burger won both in the best tasting savory food and most creative category.

Creator Tom Grace stopped by Good Day Monday to show off his delicious and unique hamburger.

The state fair opens on Sept. 29 at Fair Park in Dallas.
