FORT WORTH, Texas - A Fort Worth police officer was taken to the hospital Monday after a crash.

The accident happened just before noon on the East Freeway near Beach Street. The officer’s squad car appeared to have been hit from behind.

The Fort Worth Police Department said the officer was taken to the hospital. There was no word on the officer’s injuries.
