Florida woman turns pennies into $2.3 million jackpot win
HOLLYWOOD, Fla. (FOX 13) - A Florida woman’s pennies transformed in $2.3 million dollars.
It was a good Tuesday night for the Broward County woman, according to WPLG. The woman, who didn’t want to be identified by the local media outlet, won on a single $3 spin on the Hot Spot machine after 8 p.m at the Seminole Hard Rock Casino in Hollywood, Florida.
The woman said she will pay off her debt and buy an iPad.
"She was speaking to family and friends and they didn't believe her, so it almost made her doubt herself," LuAnn Fetcho, the casino's VP of Marketing, told the local TV station. She said the lucky winner is a frequent player at the casino, but is not considered to be “high roller.”
The jackpot win is not the largest in the company’s history. In 2012, one person won $3.6 million at the Seminole Hard Rock in Tampa.
