Disabled driver killed in crash on PGBT

DALLAS - Dallas police are investigating a fatal crash that closed the President George Bush Turnpike Sunday night.

The accident happened around 9 p.m. in the eastbound lanes west of Preston Road.

Police believe a driver was standing outside of her disabled Nissan car when a Volvo SUV hit her and her car from behind.

That driver was taken to the hospital and later died. She was identified as 29-year-old Amanda Yasaga from Lubbock.

The driver of the Volvo was not seriously injured.

The crash is still under investigation.
