Denton woman killed while crossing the street
DENTON, Texas - A woman was killed in what police said appears to have been an unavoidable accident late Tuesday night.
The woman, identified as 48-year-old Tamara Brewer, was hit by a car on Loop 288 in northeast Denton. She died at the scene.
Witnesses said Brewer was crossing Kings Row. The car that hit her did have the green light and the driver stopped to call for help.
Police do not expect to file any charges.
