Dallas students take a bus to vote for president
DALLAS - About 30 high school students in Dallas took a field trip to vote in their very first presidential election.
The seniors from Lincoln High School took a bus to a polling location and cast their ballots. The school’s alumni class of 1997 helped to organize the trip.
The students said they researched the issues and took the responsibility of voting seriously.
“Think about how we got the elderly, people in need, people who are fortunate and less fortunate, so I want everybody to have a full life,” said Kuintarius Mitchell.
“I got to be a part of something as big as this. And I get to change. My vote counts,” added Juana Villa.
The Lincoln High School alumni said they wanted to lead by example and voted right alongside the students.
