Police and SWAT officers surrounded a house west of Fair Park in Dallas Wednesday after a shooting.

The shooting happened around 11:20 a.m. in the 2600 block of MLK Jr. Boulevard. An adult male was taken to the hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound, police said.

The responding officers took two people into custody at the scene. Police said witnesses told them another possible suspect had barricaded himself inside Saint Martin’s Place, a nearby house that has been converted into an events center.

Photos from SKY 4 showed a heavy police presence, possibly because there were reports that hostages involved.

Witnesses reported hearing several flash bangs as SWAT officers entered the house just before 1 p.m. However, police said no one else was inside.

Police have not yet released a motive for the shooting.
