Dallas shooting: 1 dead, 1 arrested in southeast Oak Cliff shooting

DALLAS - A murder suspect turned himself in to police after a deadly shooting in southeast Oak Cliff on Sunday.

What we know:

Dallas police were called to a shooting on S. Lancaster Road, near Simpson Stuart Road, shortly before 1 a.m. on Sunday morning.

Officers found 23-year-old Donald Daniels had been shot at the location.

Daniels was rushed to the hospital where he later died.

Police say the suspect in the shooting, 29-year-old Jarvis Boyd, called 911 and turned himself in to police.

Boyd is charged with murder.
