Dallas ISD will have no school on election day

Dallas ISD students will not go to school on election day.

The school board voted to make Tuesday, Nov. 8 a virtual professional development day.

Many schools in the district are polling locations, which means hundreds of people will be on those campuses on election day.

In addition to Dallas ISD, the Garland and Keller school districts have made election day a student holiday.
