Dallas facing federal audit for city's use of HUD funds

The city of Dallas is being investigated by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.

One of the projects under HUD's microscope is a nine-unit apartment complex built for nearly $2 million from HUD, about $215,000 per unit.

Now, HUD wants proof the city did not squander tax dollars to build the project and 53 others.
