Fire damages apartment complex in Dallas
DALLAS - Firefighters worked to put out the flames at an apartment complex in the Red Bird area of Dallas.
What we know:
The two-alarm structure fire at the Arborstone Apartments on Cockrell Hill Road started around 1 p.m. on Thursday.
Dallas Fire-Rescue officials said a resident went to the leasing office saying their apartment was on fire.
By the time firefighters arrived, the flames were already shooting through the roof of the three-story building.
It took the 40 to 45 firefighters about 30 minutes to extinguish the flames.
Images from SKY 4 showed residents standing outside an apartment building that appeared to have significant roof damage.
Everyone made it out safely and no one was hurt, DFR officials said.
What we don't know:
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
It's also not clear how many units were damaged and how people were displaced.
