'Body' in back of truck prompts 911 call

CLEARWATER (FOX 13) - You’ve heard the saying, "See something, say something?" A Pinellas Park woman clearly has.

Wednesday afternoon, Clearwater police say, the woman saw what looked like two feet sticking out from under some debris in the back of a pickup truck at the corner of Belcher Road and Gulf-to-Bay Boulevard. She called police, fearing it was a dead body.

It was a body -- just not a real one.

Police responded to the scene and found out it was just remnants of someone's haunted house.

However, police say this is a reminder to never hesitate to call if something doesn't quite look right, even if it turns out to be Halloween leftovers.
