ATM theft suspect arrested after overnight dump truck chase

Police have arrested a man who lead officers on a chase with a stolen ATM inside a dump truck.

Larry James Jackson is in jail on multiple charges including theft.

The overnight ordeal ended after officers chased the suspect through at least three cities.

Patrol officers in Plano noticed an ATM was missing from the Chase Bank near Highway 121 and Coit Road. A tracking device pinpointed the machine's location inside the traveling dump truck.

DPS 101 assisted the pursuit in the air.

Officers ultimately used spike strips to puncture the vehicles' tires to slow it down. The driver was eventually cornered on a parcel of property owned by the city of Hutchins just southeast of Dallas.
