1st human case of West Nile virus this year confirmed in Tarrant County

The Tarrant County Health Department confirmed its first human case of West Nile Virus for the 2015 season.

The patient lives in unincorporated southwest Tarrant County, near Benbrook.

The county will be ground spraying for mosquitoes in the 76133 area code Friday night into early Saturday morning.

Sixteen cases of West Nile were reported in Tarrant County during the 2014 season.
