12-year-old South Texas girl found in Laredo after Amber Alert issued

UPDATE 1/14 4:45 PM: The child was found safe in Laredo. No word was given about the man who allegedly abducted her.


Police in the South Texas city of George West are looking for 12-year-old girl who is believed to be in grave danger.

An Amber Alert was issued Monday afternoon for Marisol Arroyo. She was allegedly abducted Sunday morning by Rigoberto Santos.

Authorities did not elaborate on the details of the abduction but said the pair may now be in an orange 2007 Chevrolet HHR with the Oklahoma license plate EKH253.

Arroyo is described as a Hispanic female who is about 5 feet tall and 85 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes. Santos is a 21-year-old Hispanic male with black hair and brown eyes.

Anyone who spots Arroyo or the suspect should call 911 immediately or contact the Live Oak Sheriff’s Office at 361-449-2271.
