1 killed in crash near I-30 & Hwy. 80 split
MESQUITE, Texas - One person died Friday morning because of crash near the Interstate 30 and Highway 80 split in Mesquite.
The accident reportedly involved three vehicles around 6 a.m. After the initial crash, one of the vehicles ended up in a drainage ditch.
Few details about what caused the crash or how many people were involved were immediately available. The Dallas Sheriff’s Office did confirm one fatality.
Although the accident investigation is now complete, FOX 4’s Chip Waggoner said workers are still cleaning up in the debris.
Traffic remains backed up and diverted onto the service roads.
