TMZ: Judge Judy & the OJ Knife
There’s a multi-million dollar lawsuit over a Judge Judy show and DNA tests on the OJ knife are complete. TMZ’s Harvey Levin has details live from L.A.
The agent who says he discovered Judge Judy is suing the company that produces the show. Rebel Entertainments, owned by Richard Lawrence, says the show has raked in $1.7 billion since it debuted in 1996. Lawrence met Judy 20 years ago and put the show together. He and his company say they were supposed to get 5 percent of net profits, but they haven’t seen a penny since 2010.
The investigation is over into a knife that was buried on OJ Simpson’s estate. DNA testing produced no matches. No hair or other samples produced a lead. A construction worker allegedly found the buck knife with a 5 inch blade buried on the perimeter of the property. He gave it to an off-duty cop who took it home and put it in a tool box for more than a dozen years. It is now impossible to know for sure if it was the murder weapon.
