Tim Hardaway Jr. gives young Mavs fan his shoes

A North Texas father hoping for a great father-son moment got even more than he imaged at a Dallas Maverick’s game.

Ryan Miller took his 7-year-old son, Max, to watch the Mavs take on the Grizzlies Friday night. He wanted his son to see Dirk Nowitzki play before he retires.

After halftime, Mavericks forward Tim Hardaway Jr. came out of the locker room, saw Max and went back in. He returned with an autographed pair of his shoes that he gave to Max.

Ryan and Max said it was an unforgettable experience.

“I just knew that where the Mavs come on and off the court he might get a high five from at least one of the players, hopefully, Dirk. And he got to high five everybody and the shoes,” the father said.

The size 14 shoes are a little big for Max’s feet. He’s hoping he can grow into them one day and said Hardaway is his new favorite player.
