Kevin Hart meets with students in Dallas while working on "Night School"

Comedian Kevin Hart goes back to class for his new film “Night School” with Tiffany Haddish.

FOX 4’s Shannon Murray sat down with Hart and producer Will Packer.

Hart recently surprised students by playing principal for a day at Booker T. Washington School for the Arts in Dallas. He gave an inspirational message to the students.

Haddish plays his teacher in the film. Some scenes were not scripted, giving them both room to improvise.

“You want to make sure you get what’s on page but you also want to leave room to play. You can’t have these comedic actors and actresses in the film and not allow them to play,” he told the students.

“Night School” premieres Friday.

Hart will be in Dallas again next month for his “Irresponsible” comedy tour at the American Airlines Center.
