Family Adventure Fest comes to Irving

An action-packed festival launches this weekend in Irving.

Spokesman Tracey Weiss joined Good Day from the Irving convention Center with a look at the Coleman Family Adventure Fest.

The key words are family and adventure. This is the place to go to try something you've never done before. There will be a multi-access trainer and BMX track, as well as an axis simulator from the U.S. Space and Rocket Center.

Families can also try out archery, stand up paddle boarding, an app-enabled robot, building rockets, a virtual zipline, flight simulator and more.

Celebrity guests include Creek Stewart from the series "Fat Guys in the Woods" and Philippe Cousteau.

The Coleman Family Adventure Fest starts Friday and runs through Sunday at the Irving Convention Center. Tickets are $12 and it's free for kids 6 and under.
