Still Wet For Some!
Last unsettled day for a while...as we have to settle with more Heat and Humidity!
Showers and some storms are headed in this morning...albeit in a weakening phase. they will still survive long enough to give some folks a wet commute.
By the afternoon, sun returns...so it will be STEAMY! Highs mid 90s but heat index up to about 104. There will still be low storm chances for northern counties later today.
By Tuesday we get a stronger south wind to keep temps in the upper 90s with high humidity as well. We could end up with Heat Advisories as we go through the week.
We are still close enough to jet stream disturbances in West Texas to give 20% storm chances NW Tuesday and from DFW west Wednesday.
Temps slowly head toward the century mark later this week as well as high pressure tries to build into Texas. There are indications that a weak front will make it into Oklahoma by later this week...so at this point, we'll put some storm chances into the forecast from late Friday into Saturday.
For now, the ECLIPSE forecast for Monday looks partly sunny, HOT and humid ....upper 90s and rain free!
