Shower and Storm chances Continue...

Still "Not Your Mother's August Weather"!

A lot of clouds today (again) as moisture plus a weak disturbance cross the area. From the Metroplex west and north, showers will be possible (highest coverage west). These will generally be on the light side, but the clouds will help to keep temps down a bit in the mid 90s. Areas SE will be hotter and very muggy...so a Heat Advisory is in effect for those areas SE of Dallas.

Tonight we watch a cold front head into Oklahoma and trigger storms. Some of these will make the trip into areas from DFW north overnight into Thursday AM (30%). Once these die...a boundary will be left that may trigger new storms in the afternoon (30%) from DFW south. Highs again in the mid 90s.

Friday and Saturday will be a little hotter and quite humid but with a front stalled to our north...we must at least give the possibility that storms could develop (20%). Highs mid to upper 90s and high humidity could mean Heat Advisories as well.

By Sunday, weak high pressure builds in. It will be seasonably HOT and humid (upper 90s) and that should last into early next week including Monday for the solar eclipse!
