Muggy May Madness Returns

Muggy May week ahead...storms will threaten.

We start this AM with another storm complex but this time much farther north ...on the Red river. Otherwise very muggy today with dew points 70 or better. That's rough. Clouds will break a bit to allow us to heat into the mid 80s PM.

Late today and into the evening hours, a few storms are still possible...highest chances DFW NE/E. Any that develop could be severe with wind and heavy rain, although coverage no more than 30%.

Wednesday will be warmest. Near 90. Windy. Muggy. Heat Index in the 90s. Just a low 20% coverage of PM storms as a stronger cap will be in place.

By Thursday and Friday, the main system pulls into Texas with enough lift to weaken the cap. More widespread showers/storms are expected from midday Thu on and off into Friday PM. Initially there will be a severe weather threat (all modes...wind, hail, tornado) which may turn into a heavy rain risk.

By the weekend, the pattern quiets down. Saturday looks warm & humid with at least a few PM storms Sunday and even more Monday.
