Muggy and scattered storms for your Sunday forecast

We'll start the day with plenty of clouds and a few isolated sprinkles, but we'll quickly warm into the upper 80s and perhaps even low 90s by the afternoon. In the heat of the day, 40% of folks will see storms building until sunset, when the rain will finally subside. We're not expecting severe weather, but frequent lightning and gusty winds are possible.

Another chance of rain edges in Monday, but we dry out Tuesday. Highs will slowly creep from the low 90s to the upper 90s by the end of the week, but the heat index will easily reach triple digits in many areas.
