Hot, and Getting Hotter Again...

We are entering the "Hottest Days of the Year" (according to averages) but there is already relief on the horizon!

HEAT ADVISORIES now posted for many areas in NTX through Wednesday...and will likely go through Friday.
Today is exceptionally muggy. One or two clouds could build into a shower PM, but most of us will just see highs close to the new "normal" of 97. Heat index could be over 105 with a south breeze.

Tomorrow we'll see HIGH PRESSURE start to build which means more sun, and higher temps. Probably back near 100 with a Heat Index to 107-108.

By Thu-Fri, highs will be over 100 most areas with a possibly dangerous Heat Index near 110. We'll also be watching a cold front in Oklahoma again. This will move in Friday PM-eve with some gusty (possibly severe) storms.

The front moves through Saturday and temps this weekend will fall BELOW normal...only in the mid-90s. There is a low chance for more storms Sunday (mainly west) and area wide Monday, but the shift in the pattern will likely keep temps at or below average for a while into next week!
