Here Come the HEAT ADVISORIES

Time to STREAK! A long stretch of seasonably "HOT" weather on the way. No records, but no relief either.

Today will see some drying high above the ground, which will yield fewer clouds, and more heat. We'll inch close to 100 by afternoon, probably falling a hair short, but with at least some humidity...a HEAT INDEX over 105 is likely and HEAT ADVISORIES have been posted.

It's a similar story tomorrow through Sunday with just a few afternoon clouds and The Heat Index between 103 and 106 each afternoon as highs range from the upper 90s to near 100.

Some tropical moisture will inch back into eastern counties Saturday and area wide Sunday to at least allow a shower or two to pop during peak heating, so we have 10% coverage in the forecast.

By Monday, a weak front will enter Oklahoma and begin to die out. There is a small chance a few storms make it across the Red River, but not much past Monday.

There are indications, we may start to heat up even further next week...eclipsing the century mark for several days.
