Heat Advisory extended through Sunday evening

Not surprisingly, the Heat Advisory has been extended through Sunday as the heat index soars into the 103-108° range this afternoon. Actual highs will be in the upper 90s, but with high humidity, it will create hazardous health conditions for those spending time outside during peak heating hours. There's a 20% chance (better south and east) to see a pop-up thunderstorm this afternoon, but most will stay dry.

Tonight, storms die off after sunset with lows in the upper 70s and low 80s.

Tomorrow brings a 30% chance of rain with highs in the upper 90s, but the heat index will pass the century mark yet again.

Highs creep back into the triple digits by the end of the week as dry weather settles in Tuesday through the weekend.
