Have your umbrella ready for storms today

Be ready for showers, storms and seriously SOGGY weather before things turn sunny!

We start today warm and humid with a band of showers and storms west of the Metroplex, which will move in later this morning through midday. There may be some heavy rain and around noon there may be a few severe storms (hail, wind) as lift increases.

These storms will slowly push east/south of the Metroplex this afternoon as north winds pick up behind a cold front and temps fall into the 60s.

Tonight we will see the rain let up in most areas as temps fall into the 50s, although it may pick up again late night as the main disturbance heads in.

Wednesday will be cool and wet! Moderate to at times heavy rain is possible in the morning through midday before ending in the evening. Even a few stronger storms are possible SE of Dallas. Temps will be in the 50s most of the day before rising into the low 60s late as the rain stops.

Skies clear after early morning clouds Thursday. We warm into the 70s although late day or evening there may be a rogue shower in northern counties. Friday will be pleasant and mild with "normal" temps in the low 70s.

This weekend, south winds return quickly and get gusty Saturday. Highs will be near 80.

Easter Sunday now looks quite interesting. A very strong cold front will blast through during the day. Temps should start warm and get well into the 70s (80s south) before plunging into the 50s by late afternoon with strong north winds.

It looks quite cool to start next week, with clouds and a few showers and temps struggling to get back to 60 Monday.
