Feeling Like Winter (until the Weekend!)
If you like it COLDER, you get a few more days before we head back UP again!
As for wintry weather? Not much...however we start today with at least the chance foe some patchy light rain through the morning hours and mainly from I-20 south. DRY air has eaten up a lot of the precip that is falling, although areas south of the Metroplex stand the best chance to see the rain. YES, there could still be some sleet pellets mixed in but impacts will be minimal to zero on the roads. By the afternoon, dry air will push all the precip south as temps get back into the low 50s (40s stick around south).
A push of colder air arrives overnight with some gusty north winds Thursday and temps well BELOW normal in the 40s with a sun/cloud mix.
The first official FREEZE of the season is likely Friday AM...many spots in the 20s before rebounding with sun into the mid 50s PM.
This weekend looks very nice. Back above 60 by Saturday and well into the 60s Sunday as SW winds develop.
Milder air lasts into Monday when we should get back near 70 before the next DRY cold front Monday night into Tuesday.
