Another weekend... another chance for storms

No signs of the "summer" weather pattern yet! Another unsettled weekend forecast...

Today will be relatively quiet. More sun this morning. Hotter temps in the mid 90s. Light winds. Air pollution watches. We will build clouds later on with 20% showers mainly south/east counties. Just 10% here in the Metroplex. And anything that does develop would die off quickly after 6-7pm.

Saturday is also seasonably hot and humid in the mid 90s. we'll be watching a cold front in Oklahoma which will trigger some storms as they head towards the red River..especially NE of Dallas. There could be some stronger storms late in the day or in the evening, with gusty winds and heavy rain.

That cold front sags closer Sat. night into Sunday AM. Storms will likely develop to our north and march into North Texas in that time period. While forecast coverage is 30%, we may end up going higher as we get more data, as the "northwest flow" pattern gets stronger. More clouds Sunday should also keep highs in the low 90s.

Things quiet down monday as we heat back up...and watch the more typical summer HIGH PRESSURE area build closer by tue-Wed. Temps will be in the mid to upper 90s most of next week.
