Texas/OU teams ready for Red River Showdown on Saturday

College football takes center stage Saturday at the Cotton Bowl Stadium in Fair Park. Texas and Oklahoma are meeting for another Red River Showdown.

The No. 19 Longhorns are riding a four-game winning streak while the sixth-ranked Sooners have one of the highest scoring offense in America.

OU is led by former Allen High School quarterback Kyler Murray.

“We got Texas coming up Saturday and a great opportunity, a great opportunity that many kids around the country would love to be a part of this game and be able to play this game. It’s here in front of us. I think the team is ready for it,” Murray said.

“The names have changed. I don’t know that the results have changed at all. Maybe the difference is how elite of a runner their quarterback is,” Texas head coach Tom Herman said.

Whether you are a Sooner or a Longhorn fan, tailgaters are invited to start the party bright and early.

A 9 a.m. FOX Sports 1 is broadcasting its pregame show from Fair Park. They’ll be set up in front of the Hall of State near Cotton Bowl Stadium.

Complete coverage of the game starts at 10 a.m. on FOX 4.
