One of the country’s top high school football programs will announce a new head coach on Monday.

Sources say the next Carroll High School coach will be Riley Dodge, a product of the program in Southlake.

Dodge, who is now 29 years old, led the Dragons to a state championship as quarterback in 2006. He is also the son of former coach, Todd Dodge.

After graduating and playing some football in college, Dodge switched to coaching and assisted at the University of North Texas, Flower Mound Marcus High School and Justin Northwest High School.

Southlake Carroll’s previous coach, Hal Wasson, left after being accused of violating University Interscholastic League rules.

Wasson, who led the Dragons to a state title in 2015, will be the new athletic director for the Irving Independent School District.
