The Frisco RoughRiders’ released new photos of their 3,000-square-foot lazy river that is scheduled to open next weekend.

The team said the Choctaw Lazy River is scheduled to open when it hosts the Midland RockHounds for a series beginning Saturday, June 11. Construction began in late February. The team said it’s the largest stadium water feature in American professional sports.

The lazy river is 175 feet end-to-end and now has more than 68,000 gallons of water in it. It is part of the 12,000-square-foot outfield party and group area, which includes the open-air Cabana Bar & Patio. The river features a waterfall above the right field wall and two larger waterfalls behind the river.

Groups with 25 to 200 people can reserve all or part of the lazy river and patio. All patrons can use the entire river and will receive access to a 2 1/2 hour all-you-can-eat buffet.

Individual fans can use the lazy river during the remaining Thursday night home games with a “Thursday Night Pool Party” ticket, which costs $39. It includes unlimited hot dogs, brats, chips, peanuts and Dr Pepper products.
